Mel Clemmans is a dedicated and compassionate individual who has navigated life’s ups and downs with resilience and determination. Originally from Mozambique, Mel moved to Australia from Durban, South Africa, 20 years ago and now calls the
Gold Coast home.

As a counsellor, Mel is deeply committed to helping others through their mental and physical health struggles. With degrees in Social Science and Counselling, she uses her knowledge and personal experiences to support her clients in finding their own paths to healing and growth. Her journey has been marked by challenges, including moments of trauma, fear, and self-doubt, which have shaped her empathetic approach to counselling.

Mel is also a wife of 26 years and a mother of three children. Her family life is filled with joy and the everyday challenges of raising a family. She finds solace in spending time with her loved ones, enjoying outdoor activities, and exploring the ocean. Staying fit and active, Mel often runs or walks on the beach, finding natural peace.

Mel’s story is about overcoming adversity and finding hope. Her passion for mental health, personal growth, and family well-being comes from her experiences of struggle and recovery. She is not perfect, but her imperfections make her relatable and genuine, offering a beacon of hope for those who feel lost or overwhelmed. Through her work, she aims to inspire others to believe in a future worth living for, even when the journey
seems tough.
